OUTSTANDING QUALITIES

  • RESISTANT TO TOMATO CURLY STUNT AND ROOT–KNOT NEMATODE
  • VERY GOOD FRUIT QUALITY
  • UNIFORM GREEN SHOULDER
  • GOOD LEAF COVER AND VIGOUR

Kennedy* is as an exciting new indeterminate salad tomato from Sakata’s local breeding program. Kennedy* is characterized by a very good fruit quality, uniform fruit size and a very good disease package.  Kennedy* has high resistance to Verticillium wilt race 1 (Vd: 1), Fusarium wilt races 1 and 2 (Fol: 1 – 2), Tomato mosaic (ToMV), Leaf mold races 1 – 5 (Ff: 1 – 5) (ex Cf) and intermediate resistance to Tomato curly stunt (ToCSV) and Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV).  Kennedy* has a very good shelf life.  The strong vigour of plants tends to make it less susceptible to common leaf diseases under circumstances normally conducive to disease development. Recommended to grow Kennedy* under protection due to its good fruit set and size giving high pack out percentages.  Best results were obtained through summer.
