Size: 2 Traps
Without poisons or chemicals harmful to wildlife, the trap relies on good old beer or yeast. Dig a hole approximately 3.5 cm deep and bury the trap with upper half exposed, or place slug traps amongst bushes or other areas where you regularly find slugs or snails. Add a small amount of beer and sugar or water, sugar and yeast. Place the lids on the traps and wait whilst they attract slugs and snails. After a few days, empty the contents of the traps and refill.
Making a Fermented Sugar Mixture
To make a mixture of fermented sugar add one or two tablespoons of sugar and one teaspoon of dried yeast to about 300ml of water. Stir the mixture and poor into a bowl.
